The other day I was laying around my pool, and my mind started to wander (which happens a lot.)
I started having these hypothetical conversations with a Woke construct, some amalgamation of the woke soundbites and videos that I’ve ingested over the past years combined with real people I know.
I discussed with this imaginary person the Covid (cult)ure, the trans movement, abortion, and several other topics. It was a very engaging conversation.
However, I struck upon a main point that bears discussing. After giving this person the what-for on all of the subjects, I asked them:
“So what’s your ideal future look like? What would be the world you could live in that makes you happy and contents? Because all I ever hear from you is everything is unjust and racists and hurting the earth, what is the vision, your utopia, that would satisfy your deepest desires? And how do you get there?”
This imaginary person was absolutely stumped. They kind of mumbled some things about humans taking care of the earth, everyone has all the rights, there’s no racism or sexism or any of the isms, and everyone has equally enough.
I nodded, but then asked again, “how do you get there?” Again, there wasn’t an answer. Just the normal platitudes about needing to continue to make more progress.
To once again quote something I wrote on an article over at Simulation Commander’s amazing Substack:
Progressivism almost always ends with the exact opposite of what they promised and hoped for. There are laws that govern the universe, laws that the US founders were incredibly wise to understand. Our 3 core documents (Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and Constitution) brilliantly and clearly define how to move WITH these universal principles as a society.
Progressives have and always will live with a false sense of reality. They will paint their rosy picture and imagine their utopia, and damn reality and universal laws.
Then when their thing inevitable goes south, they will scream and wail and blame and try more of what is doomed to fail, and the unintended consequences will continue to exponentially multiply. You simply cannot cheat the way the universe is ordered.
Let’s take gun control.
We are universally given the right to defend ourselves. It’s a foundational principle that’s governed mankind since the beginning of time. It’s imprinted on our DNA. In the US, we created the 2nd Amendment to express this clearly and unambiguously. I’m not going to get into all of the rabbit holes about “that being for another time”, “the Founders didn’t have AR-15s”, or any of that, because those are just straw men setup in order to erode the foundation of the argument. Which again is this: humans have a God-given right and obligation to defend ourselves and the other humans around us.
The Wokeist, however, has been trained to believe that removing what they see as the problem - guns - will solve the issue. To them, like in most every case (except Transgenderism it seems), it’s a binary choice.
Keeping guns = death and destruction.
Banning guns = movement toward Utopia.
There’s no such thing as room to discuss the fundamental evil in mankind’s heart. There will always be aggressors, opportunists, wolves and monsters in our world. To think otherwise is not just wildly idealistic and naïve. It’s unrealistic and dangerous. History is an unrelenting pattern of empirical evidence.
Any nuance; any critical thinking; any assessing patterns or history; any consideration of the massive variables and unintended consequences that should be involved in this - or any other - discussion, are ignored, minimized, obfuscated, and made irrelevant in the quest to justify their hypothesis and proposed solution. Their dogma and creed are set in stone (at least until a new woke dogma and creed is issued), and there’s zero room for debate.
And when you - the non-woke, uninitiated, ignorant unbeliever - come along and try to have a legitimate discussion based on empirical data, facts, logic, and reason, the typical response is to call you names. To yell at you. To talk down to you, like they’re the wise sage and you’re a kindergartener. To “re-educate” you.
It’s because their answers have no substance. They have their solution, regardless of the sanity or validity, and dammit, they will repeat it as loud and often as they need to until your head is smashed in, you give up, or hopefully until you get in line and start repeating their mantra yourself.
So back to the question: what does the rank-and-file Wokeist believe to be Utopia?
In my opinion, the honest answer is “there’s no idea.” From how I see it, “Intersectionality” has turned this religion into a ship with no harbor. There’s no real defined destination besides “justice”, “peace”, “equality”, “diversity” and “tolerance”, all of which are very nebulous words that sound really good but are really hard for complex and intertwined world societies to define, much less accomplish. It’s a huge, muddled, bland soup, and the more “progress” is made towards this, the more bland and muddled the destination becomes.
The disturbing reality for the rest of us who aren’t card-carrying members of the Woke religion, however, is that there is a very well-defined destination for the human race and our place on this earth.
In her brilliant, epic post, Monica Hughes compiles what could be defined as a master list or playbook for something close to what I believe the The Endgame is.
The ruling class is real, driven, beyond wealthy, and consumed with power. They want control over every aspect of life on earth, from natural resources to what you say in your bedroom.
These people are pragmatic. They’ll use whatever they have to use in order to further consolidate their power and perpetuate their agenda. The rank and file Wokeist - which they’ve carefully created and nurtured to be their global foot soldiers - are just one tentacle of this hydra. Land acquisition (or hostile takeover); resource acquisition (oil, gas, etc.); food production and distribution; financial takeovers; religious and philosophical captures; regulatory captures; education, government and political captures; et. al.; these and more are necessary tentacles that are by and large in place and in order.
The everyday Woke foot-soldier isn’t who we really need to be concerned about. When they knock on our door, we need to be prepared to defend ourselves against them. But just remember, their ideology is just a construct of a million splintered soundbites. They are nowhere people with no destination other than the next thing. Use your energy carefully, but going to the mat with them is ultimately just one skirmish that will barely move the needle. Their Utopia isn’t the one you should be too concerned about.
No, you focus your energy on ringing the bell about our ruling class. Because if they have their way, if they get their Utopia, it’s a world that many of us will find to be a living hell on earth.
I’ll leave you with this image, stolen from Monica’s post.
TPTSB are showing the playbook right now in Sri Lanka and Netherlands.
I've done some tax returns for farmers before.
For alot of these folks, it's not going to take much to bankrupt them and buy the land.
I Couldn't agree more. The woke foot soldiers (useful idiots) always end up eating their own eventually.
