The complexity of the government was designed to help politicians explain why they couldn't do what the people wanted.

Regularly the branches make deals with each other, yes even back then.

These days people know that the government will do what it does.

But yet they believe in the media?

Definitely, there were elements and individuals who wanted a complex government so they could take advantage of the people they governed.

But I would take issue that was the main reason for our brilliant system. Their main objective was to keep government as far apart from centralization as possible.

Would you please share examples that speak to your claim?

And for people believing the media today... People just want to be in the majority. They used social proof to convince themselves they're on the right side of things far more than they use intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. Sadly most people would rather choose to be seen with the popular kids and safe within the herd then they would know and stand for the truth.

I loved this. Remember it is the PURSUIT of happiness, not the happiness itself, that is of value. And you hit the nail on the head...not self indulgent sybaratic happiness which is false and doesnt last, but the happiness of living according to your values and God's.

Thank you.

I'm a producer by nature. I like to produce, and out of my labor, give back. That brings me great happiness and fulfillment and indicates that I'm at least somewhat moving with God's will for my life.
