I remember back at the beginning of 2020 when I was ranting on Facebook about how the proposed lockdowns were just a worldwide test of how well citizens comply with martial law.
The monsters pushing all of this madness know that the only things they are "saving" is their perceived "power", control, and most importantly, their billions and trillions of dollars or whatever "currency" they come up with. They could care less about the earth, our health or anything else. The fact remains, "they" will own *everything* and be happy. We will own *nothing*, will not leave our homes, will not go on any unapproved vacations, etc etc. This is not a conspiracy theory. It is real, is happening, and if we go along with it, we deserve what we get.
Every civilization since the beginning of time has had its driving force threatening the outliers, the disobedient, the disbelievers with endless iterations of hellfire and damnation for failure to believe and obey.
And every side thinks it represents the true faith on which the fate of the world hangs.
I've a very beloved friend in the UK I met when I was 23 and she was 17; sometimes there's been a decade or so of us being out of touch, because we each had complicated and sometimes exceptionally difficult lives. But we never needed to get "reacquainted." We just picked up as if we'd last spoke a day previously. She came from a non-religious Protestant background and I came from a culturally Jewish somewhat observant background.
I had my spiritual revelatory moment first and was living as a selectively-observant Muslim and when I visited her, she put out the whole spread of glorious English meats etc. and I had to tell her sadly I couldn't eat pork anymore. Years go by as they do, and I got over it.
She became a born-again Christian, though she always had some intellectual struggles with some of the requirements of faith. I and my then 10-year old kid were visiting her, and she said very earnestly that there is no salvation without accepting Christ, and I pointed to my kid and aske her if she absolutely believed to the root of her being that my kid was doomed automatically to hell, just for not being a Christian, and she burst into tears.
Now, mind you, long before she ever became a believer, she exemplified in many ways true Christianity. She was a naturally compassionate caring loving person who hated injustice anywhere and always, to the extent of her capacities, was actively charitable. All that faith did to change her was to make her take on certain exclusionary beliefs she'd never held before. Eventually she became a little less certain that my kid was in fact doomed to hell (and my rational atheist kid also exemplifies in many ways what true Christianity is).
I too see an old evil in what's going on these days but I don't quite see it as you do.
During the American riots of 2020, I was quietly, then loudly telling family and friends that "they" had pushed the "go button".
I don't know who "they" are, but I have a reasonable notion And I don't know the exact goals, but the results are becoming more clear since that summer.
Part of a conversation with an similar minded liberty lover in the fall of 2020:
Her: "It's worrying that so many people are living in fear."
Me: "True. What terrifies me is how many people are PROUD to live in their fears."
I honestly believe therein lies the core reason so many people are willing to go along. The West and America in particular, have grown so unfamiliar with any risk and desirous of impossible safety, majorities are joyful to trade in Liberty for the promise of security.
I'm sure most here already know how that famous quote ends.
Other than being a positive example to those near me, there's not much I can do. Facts have long been abandoned for the true believers of safety.
