What is a Sociopath?

People often confuse the terms sociopath and psychopath and use them interchangeably. They aren’t different in the clinical sense. Both terms refer to people who have antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). Those with ASPD have no regard for others’ rights or feelings, lack empathy and remorse for wrongdoings, and have the need to exploit and manipulate others for personal gain.

So...most politicians and CEOs of major companies?

Yup.

There was a study done a few years ago (wish I could find it) that showed that the personality traits most desirable in a successful CEO or President are in fact sociopathic traits. They tend to get ahead in our modern society.

I'm watching The Dropout on Hulu right now about Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos. Amanda Seyfried is sensational as Holmes, and you can see the descent into absolute sociopathic behavior.

Also recently finished Dopesick about the opioid crisis and pharma, and there were some good sociopaths in that one too.

I became interested in psychopathy after reading Jon Ronson's The Psychopath Test, admittedly not scientific but fascinating nonetheless. I don't remember if it was in that book or elsewhere that I saw that the percentage of psychopaths in government and CEO positions is much higher than the general population. Which makes perfect sense.

This excellent recommendation was from another commenter in a different part of this thread:

"One of the best I've seen is the MedCircle interview of Dr. Ramani Durvasula, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpjYtAB9i2w&t=229

"But to bridge the family skeleton in the closet with turmoil on a world scale, I recommend Andrew Lobaczewski's 'Political Ponerology: The Science of Evil, Psychopathy, and the Origins of Totalitarianism".

Actually, because of the ambiguity I looked into this recently. There is a variety of credentialed opinions on actual definitions.

I just bought the Kindle version of Political Ponerology. It looks like a really good read from the free Amazon preview. https://www.amazon.com/Political-Ponerology-Science-Psychopathy-Totalitarianism/dp/1734907452/ref=sr_1_1

Hi again T.

Yeah, I am reading the Kindle version as well. Later, I will read Desmet and compare the two, but one of the comments to Mathew's post pointed out 'Confessions of an Economic Hit Man' is essential reading for this as well. It is in my Kindle list, but haven't gotten to it yet. So many books, so many problems, and so little time.

Cheers!

Thanks for that recommendation also. I find that both 'Confessions of an Economic Hitman' and 'The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man' are currently available free to Audible members (that would be the audio version, of course), for those who are interested.

My pleasure, Tardigrade.

It is a new word for me as well, though it is such a funny sounding word for evil. After reading, I want to read Desmet's take and compare the two.

I picked up another Inuit-Eskimo word from Mathew Crawford ... https://roundingtheearth.substack.com/p/the-kunlangeta-part-i

It's almost certain that at least one otherwise healthy person who took advantage of that offer was either killed or suffered a serious effect from their jab. It's highly unlikely anyone was saved from a fatal or even serious case of Covid19. DeBlasio is a criminal.

The reason that the "politicians" (really bought and paid-for pawns or spokespersons) are chosen by their bosses (not us) is that they insulate their bosses from scrutiny and risk. In exchange, they are made rich and fully supported from the worst kind of consequences for them spreading the poison (verbal and actual poisons like these supremely dangerous genetic covid injections). The pawns will be protected by the overlapping organizations and authorities controlled by the same billionaire families because the pawns help to protect their masters. The pawns have little or no morality because they are chosen partly for that purpose. Can anyone listen to De Blasio or Justin Trudeau or Biden or Lori LIghtfoot in Chicago for more than a few minutes without concluding that these people are bereft of morality and independent thought? What surprises me in that so few people look behind the curtain to trace the path of the control that manipulates the pawns to spew the message from their Masters. I understand that the Masters don't want people to think about them. That is why they never allow their paid propagandists in the 'mainstream media" to point out the obvious, i.e. the "politicians" are not in charge even of themselves!

In many ways the obviousness of the manipulation in Covid should have woken up the vast majority of the population. The fact that it seems not to have is frightening. If I didn't know that God was in charge and continually offers us Hope (and He has given continued hope to me), I would surely have despaired.

May God Bless you and all of your families and protect them from the lies and schemes of the Evil One,

Ian in Vancouver

It's amazing to see the list of things that were used to "bribe" people into getting an experimental gene therapy injection: Fries, Donuts, Marijuana Joints, Beer, Lap Dances, a greasy hamburger (which I love, but I make them at home from scratch), and the list goes on and on. The same people who were telling the population to get the experimental shot to stay healthy and well (from an illness less dangerous than the flu for most people) were using some of the most unhealthy foods and behaviors to coerce the masses. I'd be willing to bet that there was no one in the MSM, the hospitals, and most of the doktors offices telling the population to eat a salad, cook from scratch, grow some food, get some sun, get some exercise, reconnect with your community, etc and then you won't need experimental medications and, in many cases, may never need medications at all for your entire life.

I am reminded of a day I spent working in a high security mental institution here in the UK. It was terrifying. The people I was expected to deal with were beyond insane. They were operating with faulty equipment, relating to a reality that I could not see or hear. They were locked permanently into a mindscape that could not be changed, only artificially suppressed or restrained. They were, in most cases, completely oblivious of the harm they were doing themselves and others.

THAT is who you are dealing with. Intransigent psychotics with an equally psychotic plan that they believe in wholeheartedly. We cannot reach them because they think that WE are the crazies; we are the wronguns.

I don't want to ever be on their wavelength and they don't want to be on mine.

It is a division that I do not think can be breached.

Well, the poor & disadvantaged are the very bottom of we the masses of the great unwashed / useless eaters so it makes sense they were targeted right after the weak/infirm/elderly in nursing homes.

There was worse than “free” fries, burgers & donuts; there were million dollar lotteries in a number of states including my NM. It was sickening. NM is STILL flogging vaccination, including 6 months to 5 years & all the way up. All of these people should be hanging from lamp posts @ every level of authority & that includes doctors & other medical professionals who also coerced others w/out informed consent
