Oh Freddie! How I love the music of Queen. I was lucky enough to have seen them 3 times in concert. Twice down in San Diego, and my favorite…the first one at the Santa Monica Civic. That was before they got super popular. What a show! I’ll always remember it. He and the rest of the band were consummate entertainers.
Thanks for sharing the music of one of my favorite bands and one of my favorite songs from their catalogue.
If you have Instagram, look up Catatonic Youths page. It's a whole feed devoted to some of the most obscure wanna-be artists, bad performances, and bizarre concepts. So SO good.
/One/ song... talk about issuing a challenge! 'Specially with how it changes with the mood.
Sometimes, some swedish-style C&W while riding in the pick-up is just what I need, other days it's something from Toy Dolls or the 4 Skins, other times Judas Priest or Manilla Road, or Arkham Witch or Lord Weird Slough Feg, or...
I suck at this. It's like the "what's your favourite colour" in The Holy Grail bit.
Okay, right here, right now? Metal Warriors by Manowar.
Here’s the song hubby and I had stuck in our head all week. I’m new to the John Prine bandwagon, but hubby used to listen to him when he was young, and Mr. Prine came into both of our lives with his Tree of Forgiveness album before he died. Such beautiful and simple songs he wrote. I only regret the years I didn’t know of him.
That's (don't know the proper phrase really) a pity? Edit: Pity might be the wrong word but I don't know what wouldn't sound trite, to be honest. End edit. On the other hand, you have a farm so maybe a grove or a dolmen or a wellspring or something like that, knee permitting, might be a future idea?
Like this one, which is from pre-historic times even:
I think it's important to say there's a big difference between breaking down the barriers and allowing all humans to be equal vs. the psychosis we see today. It's Freedom vs. Religion. The "Dream" of MLK speaks to freedom. The madness of today speaks to a new religion where all must convert and kneel at the alter.

Rest in peace, Freddie and David. Always remembered.
He seemed to be having such fun playing the crowd!
Damn...that was a loss of talent. I wonder if it was due to AZT?
He was pretty unrestrained at the height of the epidemic so could've been many factors.
Irreplaceable.

Lucky indeed. I can hardly bear to watch that clip, for so many reasons, but pain is part of joy.
Tolkien put it very well…”Tears are the very wine of blessedness”.
I rarely disagree with anything Tolkien says but one can really do without the benediction sometimes.
Gosh, Freddie is so awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
Because you made me listen to Michael Bolton

It's Fryy-day Fryyyday.
She took so much shit for this.

She did. Poor kid! Have you seen her lately? She’s a real beauty!
Nay, I didn't MAKE you. Like everything else (or everything else SHOULD be) you made a personal choice, my man. I did give you a NSFW warning, lol.
You made me do it! 🤣

You son of a bitch
Hehehe
Hahaha. Best thing Bolton ever did. That was awesome!

Blitzen Trapper - Furr
They've been on one of my "campfire" playlists for a while. Good stuff in a certain time/setting for sure.
Ok fine, I’ll be serious this time!

There you go. I'm Brian, and I approved this message.
Timeless classic. I was going to post Same Deep Waters As You, but it's not such a pick-me-up.
No, but it is a banger!

Bolton and Jack Sparrow is hilarious!
This seems like a good one for our community these days: https://youtu.be/u6P4jI8t-0I
Great one. Low key, positive, and sooo smooove. Listening to this on Monday morning, and it's a vibe.
It is isn't it. And now I'm listening to it again on a rainy Tuesday morning. 💕
1)I'm old enough that Bolton csme into his own int early 20s. He was good then, and hasn't lost his chops.
2) that was frikkin hilarious and I applaude both sets of music content creators( I shared) and bherr for bringing it to us! 😁
It's a hypnotizing video for so many reasons, lol.
Fridays are terrible for me, so how about Saturday?
(I've posted this, one of my favorites, in other comment threads...)

Saturday - King Missile
Why are Fridays terrible?
Hahhahaha, the picture on the front of that album.
Super early shift at job1, then almost always have a busy night and/or long drive for job2 (I usually like job2, so that helps).
Just always a really long day.
Oh God I really did just watch that thrice for any parts people pointed out in the comments that I missed. 😂🥴
I'm with you. I've watched this about a thousand times since 2012. Every single second of it is brilliant.

Loved that. Great sound. So much good, innovative music came out of NOLA.

Toy Dolls - Nellie The Elephant
Yes! What are you, telepathic?
Was waffling between that one and Metal Warriors, but Manowar won out due to today's mood - been to the family grave lighting candles.
I strongly suspect we share a haminja from some distant past point.
Nice that you have that grave. My family is scattered and largely unknown.

I am absolutely planning to do this for our immediate family. I wish I could convince my parents to be part of it.
That was....disturbing 🤐
Check out Toy Dolls doing "Dueling banjos" live on Youtube for some real awesomeness!
