I live in Pittsburgh. It's a mind-numbingly brainwashed place, no doubt due to the UPMC-U.Pitt complex being the largest employer and a $1B+ recipient of NIH/government grant money. In my opinion, this tells me that UPMC has friendly reporters at the PG to perpetuate the pandemic mythos-pathos-ethos construct. In addition to all the reasons you mentioned, the increase could also be due to the change in flu vs covid testing protocol by the CDC in December 2021.

Good point about the change in testing too. And UPMC is a behemoth, soaking up so much money and using it to perpetuate "the science".

Case in point:

Call her now and leave a message. Let her know how stupid she is. (412) 380-8519

The only way to fight this bullshit is to let people know how much we hate people like her and how entertained we are when we read her onion article. She truly believes she is noble and that she is helping us. She really thinks she is saving humankind. We need to fill her voicemail with some reality. We need to let her know how insignificant she is. She and her rag is the epitome of what we call a useful idiot.

Another term for this little shithead is complicity theorist.

I was thinking about this and doing another post earlier this week. We've been talking and wondering what we can do on the immediate, local level to stem the tide of The Great Reset and their cohorts.

The Trib released an article earlier this week talking about how Allegheny County, which includes downtown Pittsburgh, has no plans to reinstitute a mask mandate, even as Philly did so.

Being vocal about both the good and the bad is an easy, no-brainer way to do our little part.

I live in western PA also, close, but not too close to Pittsburgh. The Port Authority is extending their mask mandates for another couple weeks for all riders, but they are complaining that ridership has been down. Hmmm ... wonder why that is? The next step is for them to ask for a county or state subsidy, courtesy of county and state taxpayers.

And yeah, you know subsidies are coming, because pandemic.

The Port Authority has been poor-mouthing for as long as I can remember. They, along with the PA Turnpike, are two of the biggest money-sucks in the state.

Only encouraging thing is more cities haven't jumped on the mask bandwagon with Philly. They seem to kind of be out there on their own.

They apparently didnt get the memo it's all about Ukraine now and xney on the askm for the time being.

Or severely INTended consequences. Having “unusual, out-of-season” spikes / increases in phony “cases” will simply give our betters an excuse to keep going back to the worthless “public health measures”, e.g. control measures (but probably longer-harder-faster) to show who’s boss.

Great point. It's truly bizarre and more than a little frightening to consider this could be an intended consequence.

I know!!!! Helloooo, flu cases in the spring obviously means something is going wrong with people's immune systems. A vast majority of corporate media journalists are just plain ignorant of scientific principles, how to weigh scientific evidence and assessing a scientific study. Most corporate journalists are steeped in branch covidian culture, and will continue these mind-numbing articles. Just think how much you will grow as a person from having to tolerate such idiocy on a continual basis. 😄

Corporate “journalists” are complicit, not blindness, IMO

WEF, Soros, they have entire schools that churn out these propagandists. It's institutionalized. And even the ones who aren't intentionally malicious are just too gone on the system.

Good points. I feel like these people who are in and who wrote the article, they kind of are mindless drones though.
